POSITION OVERVIEW:

The East Greenbush Community Library seeks a reliable part-time Custodial Worker to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming building. Duties include routine cleaning, light maintenance, and using a daily checklist.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • General cleaning (floors, furniture, restrooms, and windows)
  • Trash/recycling removal
  • Event setup and cleanup
  • Furniture moving and light outdoor work
  • Report on maintenance or safety concerns as needed

 

IDEAL CANDIDATE QUALITIES:

  • Custodial experience preferred
  • Physically able to lift and use equipment safely
  • Works well independently and with others
  • Flexible and detail-oriented

 

COMPENSATION: Starting at $15.52/hr

 ASSIGNMENT: Looking for afternoon, evening and weekend hours. Willing to be somewhat flexible with work schedules.

 REPORTS TO: Library Business & Operations Manager

 BENEFITS: Paid Sick Leave
