'Portrait of a Bank Robber' Book Launch

Troy is home to many, each with their own story and ties to Troy, but one
business owner recently published a book about how he came to call Troy home. In this work of
Creative Non-fiction, Danny Killion details his thrilling and convoluted trail to Troy. The book
will be debuted this Friday, July 28 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. in Weathered Wood and there will
be a book reading at 7 p.m. This book is a must read and is a testament of the diversity in Troy.

"It's so exciting to have a book published about all of the crazy things that have happened in my
life. From when I was six months old and sent off to an orphanage until right now!” Says Danny
Killion, author, and Owner of Weathered Wood. “Well, not right now. To the time when we
wrapped up the book. But you know what I'm saying!"

Owner of Weathered Wood, Danny Killion, has made his way in the community with his deep
appreciation of natural beauty in lumber and Hudson River driftwood. With this he has been
nestled in the heart of Troy as Owner of Weathered Wood selling reclaimed wood pieces and
unique furniture. The book is filled with bank robbers, heists, and thrill-seeking teenagers. With
such beautiful pieces it’s hard to believe Danny comes from a mischievous background, but you
will have to read the book to see the full picture.

“This was a pandemic project for Danny and I: recording the stories of his wild life. And we're
so thrilled to now have a book, and be back, in the world.” Says Matthew Klane co-author
