Capital Roots' mission is to nourish healthy communities by providing access to fresh food and green space for all. Since 1968, LVORC has provided free, confidential tutoring to adults in greater Rensselaer County. We train volunteers to help learners to improve their ability to read, write, speak and understand English; empower our learners to be advocates for themselves; and educate the community about literacy issues.
