Job Summary

Athletic Haven is seeking an enthusiastic, dependable Basketball Coordinator to help deliver fun, high-quality youth basketball programming throughout the year.

This position is perfect for someone passionate about teaching basketball while making a positive impact on kids in our community.

Responsibilities include:

  • Lead after-school basketball programs (must be available by 3:30p)
  • Organize and supervise our Spring 3v3 Basketball League (3 evenings a week March - May)
  • Coach skill development sessions
  • Create a positive, encouraging environment
  • Teach sportsmanship, teamwork and fundamentals
  • Set up and clean up equipment
  • Communicate professionally with parents and staff

Approximate Schedule:

  • Fall & Winter= Approximately 5-6 hours per week
  • Spring= Approximately 10-15 hours per week
  • Summer= To be determined

Schedule includes:

  • After-school program (4:00-5:00 PM)
  • Evening league play in spring (5:30-8:30 PM)
  • Additional basketball events as needed

Qualifications:

  • Basketball playing and/or coaching experience
  • Experience working with youth preferred
  • Positive attitude and leadership skills
  • Reliable transportation
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to pass a background check

Other:

  • Pay is $24-$28 per hour (based on experience)
  • This position has the potential to grow into a larger leadership role as Athletic Haven continues to expand its youth basketball programming.
