Our Business Services (Commercial Lending) team is hiring, in Latham, NY.

 

Typical hours, Monday-Friday 8-4:30pm. This position is eligible for a hybrid schedule after training period, up to 2 days/week, upon management approval.

 

Starting pay, $31.25-33.65/hr based on experience.

 

The primary responsibility of this position is to provide comprehensive support, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

  • Prepares appropriate closing documents for all business loan types.
  • Prepares pay-off letters and any other required correspondence for the department.
  • Consults with the Business Relationship Officers (Loan Officers) on unresolved issues to ensure the documents represent an appropriate binding commitment for the credit union.
  • Creates, assembles, and maintains Business Services physical and electronic loan files. Confirms all required documentation received is electronically filed.
  • Purges aged data/reports, returns paid notes/mortgages, and closes files as needed.
  • Processes loan account transactions: setup, inputs/disburses new loans, posts payments and other assorted account maintenance as necessary.
  • Performs/monitors lien filings and releases (UCC, DMV, Mortgage), continuations and amendments as needed. Monitors and maintains insurance coverage for pledged collateral.
  • Prepares various departmental reports including, but not limited to: HMDA, Negotiable
  • Collateral/Stock, Lien/Title Status, reports and other reports as assigned.
  • Orders appraisal reports, environmental reports and flood determinations for applicable real estate transactions.
  • Updates interest rates in loan documentation software and core system as needed.
  • Provides payment posting and report generation for loan participation portfolio.
  • General office management functions such as supply ordering, mail processing, phone coverage, others as needed.
  • Acts as a backup Administrator to Laser Pro Software program.
  • Acts as a backup to Commercial Closing Coordinator.

 

Candidates should have a High School Graduate/equivalent or higher plus a minimum of 2 years business lending experience. Working knowledge of CreditQuest, LaserPro, Lenderlink, and Fiserv DNA strongly preferred. Task prioritization, attention to detail, ability to meet deadlines.
