Job Summary
Athletic Haven is seeking an enthusiastic, dependable Basketball Coordinator to help deliver fun, high-quality youth basketball programming throughout the year.
This position is perfect for someone passionate about teaching basketball while making a positive impact on kids in our community.
Responsibilities include:
- Lead after-school basketball programs (must be available by 3:30p)
- Organize and supervise our Spring 3v3 Basketball League (3 evenings a week March - May)
- Coach skill development sessions
- Create a positive, encouraging environment
- Teach sportsmanship, teamwork and fundamentals
- Set up and clean up equipment
- Communicate professionally with parents and staff
Approximate Schedule:
- Fall & Winter= Approximately 5-6 hours per week
- Spring= Approximately 10-15 hours per week
- Summer= To be determined
Schedule includes:
- After-school program (4:00-5:00 PM)
- Evening league play in spring (5:30-8:30 PM)
- Additional basketball events as needed
Qualifications:
- Basketball playing and/or coaching experience
- Experience working with youth preferred
- Positive attitude and leadership skills
- Reliable transportation
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to pass a background check
Other:
- Pay is $24-$28 per hour (based on experience)
- This position has the potential to grow into a larger leadership role as Athletic Haven continues to expand its youth basketball programming.
