Assistant Branch Manager

We are seeking a motivated and member-focused Assistant Branch Manager to support daily branch operations, lead team performance, and deliver exceptional member experiences. This role partners closely with the Branch Manager to drive results in service, lending, and operational excellence while developing team members and fostering a positive, high-performing culture.

The ideal candidate is a strong leader who can balance people, performance, and member service.

Key Responsibilities:

Support the Branch Manager in leading and developing branch staff
Provide coaching, training, and performance feedback
Reinforce service expectations, policies, and procedures
Act as a leader in the absence of the Branch Manager
Ensure delivery of exceptional, personalized member service
Resolve escalated member concerns and complex service issues
Promote a member-first culture across the team
Support branch with lending goals and deposit growth
Oversee daily branch operations, including cash controls and balancing
Ensure adherence to all policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
Monitor and maintain operational efficiency and accuracy
Assist with scheduling to ensure proper coverage
Support staffing decisions and onboarding of new team members
Underwrite loan applications taken at the branch

Qualifications:

Experience:

Three to five years of similar or related experience in financial services or retail banking/credit union. Previous supervisory experience required.
NMLS Registration required. Notary certification.
Education: College degree preferred or an equivalent of the same in practical experience is also acceptable for the position.

Required Skills:

Strong leadership and coaching abilities
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Knowledge of consumer lending and financial products
Ability to balance service, sales, and operational priorities
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Proficiency with banking systems, digital tools, and Microsoft office products
Proficiency in loan underwriting
Employment Details:

Location: HRCCU Corinth Branch, Corinth, NY.
Salary: $62,500-$68,000 based on candidate’s experience, qualifications, and demonstrated skills relevant to the position.
