ALBANY, N.Y. – CAP COM Federal Credit Union and its charitable giving arm, the CAP COM Cares Foundation, are pleased to announce their annual “Sharing the Harvest” program. The credit union, located in Albany, NY, will pack and deliver 600 Thanksgiving meals to families in need around the Capital Region.
The media is invited to join CAP COM Volunteers for the delivery of 100 meals at the C.O.C.O.A House in Schenectady.
Each family’s bag includes a turkey, sides, pies, and a gift card to Price Chopper/Market 32 for remaining items. Items for the meals were secured and are provided in partnership with Price Chopper/Market32.
The volunteer group of CAP COM employees will include CAP COM President and CEO, Chris McKenna, and CAP COM Chief Financial Officer David Jurczynski. C.O.C.O.A House Executive Director, William Rivas will also be present at the organization. Additional photo and video opportunities will be available during delivery.

The 2021 beneficiaries of the Foundation’s Sharing the Harvest Program include:
St. Catherine’s Center for Children, Commission on Economic Opportunity, Visiting Nurses of Albany, Cohoes Mayor’s Office, Literacy Volunteers of Rensselaer County (LVORC), St. Paul’s Shelter, Watervliet Elementary, Marillac Family Shelter, YWCA of the Greater Capital Region, Franklin Community Center, Shelters of Saratoga, New Scotland Elementary School, Turnpike Elementary, Troy School 14/16/18, Rensselaer Park Elementary, Magnet Montessori School, COCOA House, Knickerbacker Middle School, US Committee for Refugees and Immigrants (USCRI).
This is the tenth year that CAP COM FCU has organized the program. An original plan to invite volunteers and media to the sorting and packing opportunities at CAP COM HQ has been eliminated due to a national food supply shortage. The CAP COM Cares Foundation will provide families with gift cards to purchase the remaining items they need to make their holiday meal complete.
