WERC to Host 2026 Annual Luncheon Featuring Jen Aks
TROY, NY - September 22, 2026 - The Capital District Women’s Employment & Resource Center (WERC) will host its 2026 Annual Constellation Building Event on Tuesday, October 20, at the Hilton Garden Inn Troy, bringing together more than 300 business and community leaders, partners and supporters.
This year’s theme, “Lead by Your Light: Embody. Empower. Elevate.”, celebrates personal confidence, purpose and the community connections that help women move forward.
The luncheon will feature Jen Aks, TEDx speaker, bestselling author, leadership coach and creator of The Power of Gesture®. Her work focuses on self-trust, confidence and embodied leadership, encouraging individuals to recognize their own strengths and lead with greater clarity and authenticity.
“Jen’s message is a wonderful fit for WERC and the women we serve,” said Elizabeth Miller Guthier, Executive Director of WERC. “Lead by Your Light is about recognizing the strength and potential within ourselves while celebrating the people who help us along the way.”
Proceeds from the luncheon support WERC’s programs that help women in transition access proven pathways to gainful employment, creating a lasting impact for women, families and the region’s economy.
