Unity House to Kick Off it's Annual Children's Holiday Program on Monday, November 20th at 12:30pm!

Unity House will kick off its annual Children’s Holiday Program and highlight the ways families can benefit from the generosity of community members who support the program through donations of cash and gifts. The Unity House Holiday Store, where parents can select gifts (at no cost) to suit their own children’s interests and needs, will return this year after being on pause since pre-Covid years.

A father whose 9 children have received gifts through the program and a longtime individual donor who this year will purchase gifts for 35 children will be available to talk about the importance of the program.

The Unity House team will share guidelines for enrolling children who will receive gifts of new toys, clothing, and other necessities and highlight the manner in which gifts are selected and presented in a way that respects the dignity of all participants. The annual holiday program typically serves about 1,100 children who participate in Unity House’s day care, domestic violence services, community residential, and emergency assistance programs.

The Holiday Program kick off will take place at Flanigan Square Building (space generously donated by First Columbia) 547 River St., Troy.
