Siena College Board of Trustees voted to officially become Siena University
The Siena College Board of Trustees voted Friday, June 6, 2025, to officially become Siena University.
"We've already added graduate and professional programs, expanded research and partnerships, invested in state-of-the-art facilities, all while continuing to deliver life-changing student experiences, of course, rooted in our Franciscan values," said College President Chuck Seifert. "We are already doing the work of a university. It's time we own it."
- ~40% of Saints are in majors that didn’t exist a decade ago
- Graduate offerings have more than tripled in the last three years
- We've expanded facilities, research, and partnerships.
“Becoming a university aligns with our mission and the strategic plan we’ve been actively pursuing,” the college said in an online FAQ.
