WHAT: Recognizing Wm. J. Fagan & Sons, Inc. on the occasion of their official inclusion in the New York State Historic Business Preservation Registry.
Founded in 1910 by William J. Fagan in Troy, NY, Wm. J. Fagan & Sons, Inc. has proudly served generations of New Yorkers with reliable insurance services. From its early days in downtown Troy to becoming a statewide provider, Fagan Insurance has exemplified what it means to be a longstanding and community-minded business. The company is also known for its civic engagement, including its long-time sponsorship of the annual Troy Turkey Trot and support for numerous local charitable initiatives throughout the Capital Region.
This special recognition is part of the New York State Historic Business Preservation Registry, which highlights businesses that have operated for at least 50 years and have made significant contributions to the history and identity of their communities. The registry is administered by the NYS Office of Parks, Recreation & Historic Preservation.
