National Bank of Coxsackie donates $5,000 to Athens Volunteer Fire Department

 

Coxsackie, NY – [January 2026] – National Bank of Coxsackie (NBC) is proud to announce its recent $5,000 donation to the Athens Volunteer Fire Department. The funds were made possible through the Federal Home Loan Bank of New York (FHLBNY), which enables member banks like NBC to support local organizations that enhance public safety and strengthen the communities they serve.

 

The Athens Volunteer Fire Department provides essential emergency response services to the Village and Town of Athens, protecting residents, businesses, and visitors through fire suppression, rescue operations, and emergency medical response. This donation will support the Department’s ongoing efforts to equip its volunteers with critical tools and resources needed to respond safely and efficiently to emergency situations.

 

“The Athens Volunteer Fire Department would like to sincerely thank the National Bank of Coxsackie for their very generous donation of $5,000,” said the Athens Volunteer Fire Department. “Your support is greatly appreciated and will be used to purchase new flashlights and fire pagers to help alert our members of emergency calls, improving both safety and response capabilities. Donations such as yours make a meaningful difference in our ability to serve and protect the Athens community.”
