The City of Albany Proclaimed June 2, 2025, as Ms. Woodard Day
Albany, NY - On Monday, Ms. Allaine Woodard, Parent Community Engagement Coordinator and a founding staff member of KIPP Albany Community Charter School (KACCS) was surprised with recognition by the school community, her family, colleagues past and present, and the City of Albany for her dedicated service to Albany’s educational landscape for 40 years. She was presented with a proclamation designating June 2, 2025, as Ms. Woodard Day in the City of Albany by Dorcey L. Applyrs, Chief City Auditor.
“What I do, I do for love and for the children in our community. I will do more. KIPP Albany Community Charter Elementary is a wonderful place for you and your children to be. It takes all hands to do this work. I will continue to do what I need to for the children,” said Woodard.
Woodard grew up in Albany and she and her family have strong roots in the Capital Region and KACCS communities.
