KIPP Capital Region Public Schools Distributes 250 Turkeys to Families and Staff
Albany, NY - On Friday, November 21, KIPP Capital Region distributed 250 turkeys to families and staff from across its seven schools in the Capital Region as part of its One Table, One Community Food Drive. Thanks to the generous donation from RJ Valente, the holiday drive will make it possible to provide turkeys to more members of the KIPP Capital Region community than ever.
At KIPP Albany Community Elementary Charter School (KACCSE) turkeys and baskets filled with food items will be given to 25 of its families ahead of the Thanksgiving holiday. For several years, longtime staff member Ms. Allaine Woodard has spearheaded the food drive and coordinated distribution efforts.
Each KIPP Capital Region school will receive more than thirty turkeys to support families and staff this year.
