KIPP Capital High School Hosts Signing Day for the Class of 2026
Albany, N.Y. – On Friday, May 1, KIPP Capital High School hosted a signing day event where senior scholars celebrated their post-graduation plans with classmates, family members and KIPP Capital High School teachers and staff. This is the first class to graduate from KIPP Capital High School following the school's grand opening in the fall of 2025.
“Today was a particularly special one for the KIPP Capital Region community, as we celebrated the senior scholars who represent the first class to graduate from our new KIPP Capital High School,” said Myles Clendenin, Director of KIPP Forward. “The KIPP Forward team helps students navigate and prepare for the educational and career paths that best suit their goals. From the college applications to understanding financial aid, and now signing day, we are there every step of the way to support and cheer them on. Congratulations to the class of 2026 for all that they have achieved, we can’t wait to see all that you accomplish in the years ahead!”
During the event, the first-time recipients of the Trailblazer Scholarship were announced. Alanna Harris and London Hayes were awarded $1,500 each to be used towards books and other college-related expenses.
