Albany, New York January 1, 2025 — Hacker Murphy, LLP is pleased to announce that John F. Harwick has been elected Managing Partner of the firm. Mr. Harwick succeeds James E. Hacker, who previously served with distinction in the role. “John’s leadership, judgment, and commitment to excellence make him exceptionally well-suited to guide the firm into its next chapter,” said Jim Hacker. “His dedication to our clients and to the practice of law reflects the values on which Hacker Murphy was built.”
Mr. Hacker will continue to practice law with the firm as Senior Counsel, concentrating on complex medical malpractice, personal injury, commercial litigation cases and alternative dispute resolution.
Mr. Harwick has been admitted to the bar for 30 years and has been a cornerstone of Hacker Murphy, LLP for the past 28 years. Throughout his career, he has earned a reputation as one of the region’s leading trial attorneys, consistently recognized as a Top 25 Hudson Valley “Super Lawyer” and as one of “The Best Lawyers in America”.
