Albany, New York January 1, 2025 — Hacker Murphy, LLP is pleased to announce that John F. Harwick has been elected Managing Partner of the firm. Mr. Harwick succeeds James E. Hacker, who previously served with distinction in the role. “John’s leadership, judgment, and commitment to excellence make him exceptionally well-suited to guide the firm into its next chapter,” said Jim Hacker. “His dedication to our clients and to the practice of law reflects the values on which Hacker Murphy was built.”

Mr. Hacker will continue to practice law with the firm as Senior Counsel, concentrating on complex medical malpractice, personal injury, commercial litigation cases and alternative dispute resolution.

These recognitions highlight his exceptional work in representing clients in personal injury, medical malpractice, commercial and trust and estate litigation cases.

In his new capacity as Managing Partner, Mr. Harwick will oversee the strategic direction and day-to-day management of the firm. His practice will remain focused on personal injury cases, commercial litigation and trust and estate contested matters.
