First New York FCU and Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake High School Open New In-School Branch with Ribbon Cutting

January 27, 2023 (Albany, NY): First New York Federal Credit Union and Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake High School announce the opening of a new in-school branch, the Spartan Branch. The new branch will be staffed by student volunteers, who will gain valuable experience by providing basic banking services to their fellow students and staff from the school and district.

First New York and BH-BL will be holding a ribbon cutting for the opening on Friday, February 3 at 8:30 AM at the high school (88 Lakehill Road, Burnt Hills, NY 12027).
The Spartan Branch joins Schenectady High School’s Patriot Branch as First New York’s second high school branch. These in-school branches provide a safe environment for student volunteers to practice real-world skills in banking, marketing, business and more.

Anyone interested in joining First New York KIDS Banking Program at the elementary, middle, or high school level, please contact Membership Development Officer Michelle LaVoy at [email protected] or (518) 393-1326, ext. 1802.
