Community Resource Federal Credit Union to Donate Oven to Ronald McDonald House of Charities of the Capital Region

[Albany, June 30, 2023] – Community Resource Federal Credit Union (CRFCU) is proud to announce its generous contribution to the Ronald McDonald House of Charities of the Capital Region. In a heartwarming gesture, CRFCU donated a brand-new double oven to the Ronald McDonald House, aimed at enhancing the facility's ability to provide nutritious meals for families staying at the house.

On Friday, June 30, 2023, CRFCU will officially welcome the oven to the Ronald McDonald House of Charities of the Capital Region, located in Albany, NY. This significant contribution is a testament to CRFCU's commitment to supporting local community organizations and making a positive impact on the lives of those in need.

The Ronald McDonald House of Charities of the Capital Region serves as a "home away from home" for families with seriously ill children receiving treatment at nearby hospitals. The facility offers a supportive and comfortable environment, allowing families to stay together during challenging times. As part of their mission, the Ronald McDonald House provides meals through programs such as, Love is Served, and other essential services to alleviate some of the burdens faced by these families.

With the addition of the new oven, the Ronald McDonald House will be able to ensure that families have access to healthy and delicious meals while focusing on their child's well-being. The oven's advanced features and capacity will greatly enhance the efficiency of the kitchen operations, enabling the Ronald McDonald House staff and volunteers to prepare meals with ease.

"We are thrilled to contribute this oven to the Ronald McDonald House of Charities of the Capital Region," said Jaye Jones, AVP of Marketing & Business Development of Community Resource Federal Credit Union. "We believe in the importance of supporting organizations that have a profound impact on our community. By providing this oven, we hope to alleviate some of the operational challenges faced by the Ronald McDonald House and enable them to continue their exceptional work in serving families during difficult times."

The installation of the new oven took place on Thursday, June 29, 2023. Cocca’s Appliances employee, Scot Hunter, graciously donated his time to install the oven at the Ronald McDonald House of Charities of the Capital Region.
