City of Troy Launches New Tourism Campaign “Troy Has It!”

The City of Troy has launched its new tourism campaign, "Troy Has It!", aimed toward attracting visitors both locally and beyond to visit the Collar City.

This initiative, made possible through the generous support of the Troy Redevelopment Foundation (TRF), is designed to showcase the unique experiences, attractions, and opportunities that the City of Troy has to offer residents and visitors.

Troy recognizes the need to showcase its unique offerings to a broader audience. The "Troy Has It!" campaign serves as a powerful tool to not only celebrate and preserve the city's rich heritage but also to bolster its economic vitality. By attracting residents and visitors from across the Capital Region and beyond, the campaign fosters a sense of community and highlights the impact that tourism can have on local businesses, cultural institutions, and community events. It underscores Troy's commitment to continued growth and development, showcasing the city as an attractive destination.

"This campaign not only celebrates our city's rich history and culture but also showcases our commitment to the betterment of our community. I’m confident that visitors to our vibrant city will support our businesses, art community, shop and dine,” said Troy Mayor Patrick Madden. “We are very grateful for the Troy Redevelopment Foundation's support in making this campaign a reality.”

This tourism initiative will highlight key facets of the city, such as:

  • A thriving arts and entertainment scene with galleries, public art displays, performances, and live music events.
  • The diverse culinary landscape of Troy, with its array of restaurants, cafes, and eateries offering a wide range of cuisines and flavors.
  • Troy's storied history with its stunning architecture, heritage and museums.
  • Exciting events such as the Troy Turkey Trot, Victorian Stroll, Troy Night Out, Troy’s Farmers Market, Rockin’ on the River and Powers Park Concert Series.
  • Troy's parks and recreational facilities offer a beautiful respite, with scenic trails, sports fields and family-friendly activities.
