BGCCA Stocking Drive & Fundraiser

As the holiday season approaches, the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Capital Area is excited to launch our annual Holiday Stocking Drive. This initiative aims to bring joy and warmth to the hearts of children who may not have the privilege of experiencing the magic of the holiday season in the same way many of us do.

Every year, we strive to make the holidays brighter for the children we serve by providing them with festive stockings filled with small gifts, essential items, and a sprinkle of seasonal cheer. This endeavor would not be possible without the support and generosity of individuals and organizations like yours.

We are reaching out to you today to kindly request your support for our Holiday Stocking Drive. Your contribution, whether it be through monetary donations, gift items, or volunteering your time, will play a crucial role in making this holiday season unforgettable for these children.

Here's how you can get involved:

Monetary Donations: Your financial support will help us purchase stocking essentials and ensure that each child receives a special gift this holiday season. You can make a secure online donation on our website HERE, or contact me directly to discuss other options.

Gift Items: Consider donating stuffed stockings, or new, unwrapped toys, school supplies, pajamas, warm winter clothing, or any other items suitable for children ages 6-18. These gifts will be carefully wrapped or placed in stockings to create a memorable holiday experience. We will be collecting filled stockings and gifts at the Troy Clubhouse through Friday, December 13. Please contact me if you would like to make a donation of stockings or gifts.

Stocking stuffer suggestions:  school supplies, arts and crafts, books, bath and body products, lotion, toothbrush and toothpaste, hair accessories,

brushes, lip balm, nail polish, gloves or mittens, hats, scarves, socks, pajamas - always a big hit!, card games, ear buds, candy, magic tricks, sport items - basketballs and footballs, Barbies or other dolls, Matchbox or Hot Wheels cars, Superhero figures, Nerf toys, small toys, jewelry, stickers,

coin purse or wallet, coloring books, crayons, markers, colored pencils, Playdoh, beading kits, jigsaw puzzles, puzzle books - crossword, sudoku, search and find, hot cocoa packets, fidget toys, etc. - most anything that would brighten a child's day!

Volunteer: We welcome volunteers to join our team of "Elves" to assist with organizing, packing, and loading stockings. Your presence and dedication will make a significant impact on the success of our Holiday Stocking Drive. The Elves will be meeting on Sunday, December 15 at the Troy Clubhouse from 1 pm until all stockings are labeled, filled, and loaded on the "sleigh" for distribution to our sites. If you are interested in joining our team of Elves, please respond to this email to let me know.

By joining together with BGCCA, you are not only supporting a holiday initiative, you are creating moments of heartwarming cheer and hope that will last a lifetime for our children. Thank you so much.

Together, we can make this holiday season magical by spreading joy and warmth to the children in our community!
