The Arc of Rensselaer County Installs The Board of Directors

Troy, NY June 18, 2025 The Arc of Rensselaer County held its Board Installation Dinner at Paolo Lombardi’s Restaurant.  The organization is a leader in supporting people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) through innovative, person-centered services that empower individuals and enrich our community.

Founded in 1950 by families and advocates determined to build a better future, The Arc of Rensselaer County has grown into a vital and visionary nonprofit, supporting thousands of people to live full, independent, and meaningful lives.  For 75 years, The Arc of Rensselaer County has provided innovative support and advocacy for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Committed to person-centered planning, community inclusion, and workforce excellence, The Arc is proud to be a vital thread in the fabric of New York's Capital Region.

As part of our year-long celebration, The Arc of Rensselaer County invites the community to join us at several special events:

  • September 23, 2025 – Trivia Night at Ryan’ Wake in Troy
    A fun evening of friendly competition to benefit programs supporting individuals with disabilities.
  • November 6, 2025 – 75th Anniversary Gala URC at the Venue in Cohoes
    A formal evening reflecting on our legacy and celebrating our future. We hand out our Henrietta Award!
