Berlin Central School District is a small, rural public school district located in eastern Rensselaer County, approximately 25 miles east of Albany, N.Y. It serves about 730 school children in two school buildings – Berlin Elementary School and Berlin Middle/High School. The district includes five towns: Berlin, Grafton, Petersburgh, Poestenkill and Stephentown. Our school district population is approximately 6,800 residents. We are equidistant from Troy, NY, Pittsfield, MA, and Bennington, VT. One of the district’s greatest strengths is its community, which regularly volunteers to help the schools, from leading community projects to improving the school’s softball and baseball fields.
