About the Opportunity
The Procurement and Contract Specialist supports the organization’s procurement and contracting activities by performing tasks related to sourcing, contract administration, and vendor management for various initiatives. This role assists with the preparation and processing of purchase orders, requests for proposals (RFPs), and requests for information (RFIs), ensuring procurement strategies align with organizational goals. The Specialist provides guidance on contract compliance, collaborates with business units to gather requirements and develop procurement solutions, and works with suppliers to deliver timely, cost-effective, and compliant goods and services. Additionally, the Specialist maintains accurate records, monitors contract terms, and supports process improvement initiatives to maximize value throughout the procurement lifecycle.
What You’ll Do
The Procurement and Contract Specialist supports the organization’s procurement and contracting activities by performing a variety of tasks related to sourcing, contract administration, and vendor management. This role works collaboratively with internal teams and external suppliers to ensure timely, compliant, and cost-effective procurement of goods and services.
Key Responsibilities:
Procurement & Sourcing
- Assist with the preparation and processing of purchase orders, requests for proposals (RFPs), and requests for information (RFIs).
- Support sourcing activities by gathering requirements, communicating with suppliers, and evaluating quotes.
- Maintain accurate records of procurement transactions and documentation.
Contract Administration
- Assist in drafting, reviewing, and tracking contracts and agreements.
- Monitor contract terms, renewals, and compliance requirements.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure contract deliverables are met.
Vendor Management
- Communicate with vendors regarding order status, delivery schedules, and issue resolution.
- Help onboard new suppliers and maintain vendor files.
- Track supplier performance and escalate issues as needed.
Process Support & Compliance
- Ensure procurement activities follow established policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Support internal controls and participate in audits as required.
- Maintain procurement documentation in designated systems.
Collaboration & Team Support
- Work closely with business units to understand procurement needs and provide responsive support.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to process improvement initiatives.
- Assist with training and knowledge sharing for new team members or stakeholders.

Skills and Experience
- Education, Licensures, & Certifications

Associate’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field, OR equivalent relevant experience.
- Years of Experience (Required & Preferred)

2+ years of experience in procurement, contract administration, or related roles.

Strong organizational and communication skills.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and procurement systems.
Worksite Designation
- Hybrid: 3 days onsite through 09/01/2026, then 4 days onsite

MVP Health Care is committed to providing competitive employee compensation and benefits packages. The base pay range provided for this role reflects our good faith compensation estimate at the time of posting. MVP adheres to pay transparency nondiscrimination principles. Specific employment offers and associated compensation will be extended individually based on several factors, including but not limited to geographic location; relevant experience, education, and training; and the nature of and demand for the role.
