Capital District Transportation Authority (CDTA), the Regions number one mobility provider, is looking to fill the Communications Coordinator position. Working at CDTA, you will be a part of a team that provides essential services to the Capital Region.
Duties and Responsibilities
The Communications Coordinator reports to the Director of Corporate Communications and supports the activities of the department along with the Executive Office. This includes support for the Authority’s Board of Directors, their meetings and activities. The individual will work with CDTA Board Members and the Chief Executive Officer to support and insure effective communication within the Executive Offices. Requires an energetic and flexible individual who can handle multiple priorities.
General Duties
- Support the activities of the Communications Department and the Executive Office. Assist with internal and external communications, including, but not limited to internal employee app, weekly e-news, internal message boards, external message boards, quarterly newsletter.
- Collaborating on the annual communications plan and strategy to help build on the CDTA brand image. Monitor CDTA’s online media presence and reputation.
- Provide support for community engagement activities, corporate events, news conference and related media activities.
- Maintain a listing of corporate contacts and external relationships. Organize contact information with the ability to sort and identify as required.
- Create, shoot, and edit internal corporate videos to be used on internal employee communications app.
- Assist with the execution of press conferences, external internal and other promotional events to help keep the organization top of mind
- Coordinate volunteers, support staff, vendors and more to support internal events.
- Provide communication and support to Board Members and board related activities each month.
Experience and Education
- Bachelor’s degree in communications or related field with 2-4 years of experience in a communication or corporate communications office setting or equivalent.
- Proficient in MS Office with expertise in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced office environment, exceptional communication skills, superior organization skills and dedication to completing projects in a timely manner.
Compensation
Grade 614 ($54,405 - $64,198)
