Dear Community Members,

We are pleased to share an exciting opportunity for Rensselaer County residents and grassroots organizations. The “What If…” Mini Grant Program is designed to support small-scale projects (up to $5,000) that bring people together and create positive change in our community.

Eligibility

  • Open to all residents of Rensselaer County.
  • Individuals, neighborhood groups, and grassroots organizations are encouraged to apply.

Examples of Eligible Projects

  • Neighborhood clean-up initiatives
  • Health and wellness activities (e.g., yoga in the park)
  • Community-building events or workshops
  • Other creative ideas that address local challenges and strengthen community ties

Next Steps
To apply, attendance at a Community Information Meeting is required. Two sessions will be held:

  • Tuesday, October 7, 2025 | 5:00–7:00 PM
  • Thursday, October 9, 2025 | 5:00–7:00 PM
