KIPP Troy Prep High School Senior Signing Day

TROY, N.Y. – On May 26, KIPP Troy Prep High School hosted its first-ever signing day event where 27 senior scholars revealed their post-graduation plans to their classmates and family members. Several of the graduates will be attending various two- and four-year institutions throughout New York State; one will be pursuing a career in pharmacy and phlebotomy, another will pursue sound production, and two will be joining the military. Many friends and family learned of the students’ final destinations for the first time, along with everyone else in attendance of the celebration.

This is the first class to graduate from KIPP Troy Prep High School following last year’s successful merger of Troy Prep and KIPP Capital Region. Students graduating this year will attend various schools, including the following:

Buffalo State University
Hudson Valley Community College
Pace University
Rochester Institute of Technology
Schenectady County Community College
Siena College
SUNY Delhi
SUNY Oneonta
Syracuse University
The College of Saint Rose
University at Albany
University at Buffalo
Western New England University

“We celebrated the nearly thirty senior scholars who represent the inaugural graduating class of KIPP Troy Prep High School,” said Dr. Brooke Paradise, Ed.D, Director of College & Careers at KIPP Troy Prep High School. “Part of the mission at KIPP Troy Prep High is to prepare all students to enter and succeed in their post graduate lives, and today we joined with family members, friends, and classmates as they learned of what these seniors have chosen to do in their next chapter of life. Congratulations to the class of 2023 for all that they have achieved, we are so very proud of you!”
