The Arc of Rensselaer County Installs The Board of Directors

The Arc of Rensselaer County proudly hosted its annual Board Installation Dinner at Paolo Lombardi’s Restaurant, celebrating a new year of leadership and reaffirming the organization’s commitment to advancing opportunities for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). As a longstanding leader in person-centered supports, The Arc continues to champion inclusion, independence, and meaningful community engagement for individuals across Rensselaer County.

Founded in 1950 by families determined to create a more equitable future, The Arc of Rensselaer County has grown into one of the region’s most trusted and innovative nonprofits. For more than 75 years, the organization has delivered advocacy, services, and supports that empower thousands of people with IDD to live full, self-directed lives.

In 2026, The Arc remains steadfast in its mission, expanding community partnerships, strengthening its workforce, and advancing new models of individualized support. As a vital part of New York’s Capital Region, The Arc continues to weave inclusion, dignity, and opportunity into the fabric of the community it proudly serves.

“As we look ahead, we remain inspired by the values that guide our mission. Innovation, respect, and true inclusion,” said Donald Mullin, CEO. “Our Board of Directors and dedicated staff continue to strengthen the foundation of a community where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.”
