Job Summary:
The Service Technician is responsible for beer/soft drink line cleaning, draft service and installs, fountain soda service and installs, cooler and vendor repair, as well as emergency service calls and deliveries. The Service Technician must be a strong safety advocate and is responsible for ensuring that all company safety policies and procedures are followed at all times. This position also requires the safe operation of company vehicles and equipment.

Essential Functions:

Business
• Perform assigned line cleanings, service calls, installs and deliveries as directed by management
• Maintain company standards with regard to housekeeping of fleet vehicles
• Ensure all safety and Company policies and procedures are adhered to at all times
• Order and maintain proper inventory levels for all parts and equipment
• Complete and submit all necessary documentation to management
• Capably operate Service Department software package (ServiceTrade)

People
• Coordinate and communicate with sales personnel to ensure that all service and delivery of equipment is done while providing superior customer service
• Determine customer needs and discuss all possible solutions
• Investigate, communicate and document all accidents, incidents, and injuries
• Assists in the completion of all performance evaluations and progressive disciplinary process as needed.
• Resolve all customer service issues both internal and external in a timely manner.
• Responsible for the investigation, communication, and documentation of all accidents, incidents, and injuries that occur in the service department function.
• Ensure warehouse and fleet housekeeping is performed up to standard by all personnel.

• Demonstrate the ability to evaluate problems and provide direction to solve them
• Able to complete tasks in the scheduled timeframe
• Able to adapt to changes and demonstrate flexibility to overcome obstacles
• Willing to pursue education and training

Preferred Skills:
• Knowledge of draft beer line cleaning is a plus
• Experience in draft beer service or fountain soda – installs & troubleshooting.
• Experience in refrigeration repair and maintenance
• Aptitude in using various hand tools (screwdrivers, wrenches, etc.) and powered hand tools (drills, reciprocating saw, etc.)
• Knowledge of basic electricity and plumbing
• Proficient in Service Department software package (ServiceTrade) and Outlook

Work Shift Requirements:
• Ability to work additional hours, as needed.
• Must notify supervisor any time prior to the beginning of work shift when calling in sick.
• Required to wear company-issued apparel and safety personal protective equipment
• Use and maintenance of company-issued equipment

Environment & Physical Demands
• Work safely and follow all OSHA regulations and company safety policies and procedures
• For all on-the-job injuries or accidents, must notify Safety Officer, supervisor, and Human Resources immediately (no later than 1 hour)
• Exposure to rain, snow, extreme hot or cold
• Ability to push/pull up to 165lbs
• Ability to sit, stand, walk, squat, bend, twist, reach, balance, and grasp
• Schedule is Monday through Friday 7:30am to 4:00pm. On call Saturday night from 6:00pm to 9:00pm every 10 weeks.
• $22/hr. considerate of experience and/or years in the beverage business.
