Job Overview

Shaker Pointe is seeking a Senior Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, overseeing bookkeeping tasks, and preparing financial statements. Key Responsibilities

🔹 Bookkeeping & Financial Transactions:
• Record day-to-day financial transactions
• Reconcile accounts payable and receivable
• Process payroll and manage employee-related transactions
• Perform bank and credit card reconciliations
🔹 Financial Reporting & Analysis:
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Analyze financial data and provide insights on key performance metrics
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and audit preparations
🔹 Compliance & Internal Controls:
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and relevant tax laws
• Maintain financial accuracy and adherence to company policies
• Identify areas for process improvements in financial management
🔹 Collaboration & Support:
• Work closely with HR, Operations, and other departments to ensure smooth financial operations
• Support senior management with financial analysis and reporting

Qualifications

✔ Required:
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping
• Proficiency in accounting software
• Strong knowledge of financial statements, tax laws, and compliance requirements
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

✔ Preferred:
• CPA certification or progress toward certification
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with financial modeling
• Familiarity with senior living accounting practices
