Distinguished Litigator Attorney Jennifer McCanney Joins LaMarche Safranko Law.

Albany, NY — LaMarche Safranko Law is pleased to welcome Attorney Jennifer McCanney to the legal team at LaMarche Safranko Law. Jennifer will focus her work on clients who are injured or accused of a crime. Jennifer’s extensive litigation and trial experience will be an asset to every client she represents as she shifts her focus to advocating for the injured and the accused. “Spending fifteen years in the courtroom every day has provided me with the knowledge and confidence required to successfully litigate any case. I will use the same passion and zeal I displayed when advocating for victims to ensure my clients receive the justice and representation they deserve.” Jennifer reflected. "During my time at the DA’s office, I greatly admired how the attorneys at LaMarche Safranko Law tirelessly advocated for their clients. After seeing judges, police officers, and other respected colleagues consistently refer their family and friends to the firm, I knew it was a culture I would be proud to be part of."

Jennifer began her career as an intern with the Albany County District Attorney while in law school and was hired as a prosecutor in the office immediately upon graduation. She was the designated prosecutor in Albany City Court’s Domestic Violence Court until 2013 when she was promoted to the Special Victim’s Unit and eventually Bureau Chief. Jennifer spent the next eleven years successfully prosecuting felony level cases involving domestic violence, sexual assault, kidnapping, crimes against children and homicides.

In January 2022, Jennifer was promoted to Bureau Chief of the Local Court Unit, where she utilized her experience to supervise and train prosecutors who represent the office in the local courts as well as handle an array of felony level offenses, particularly homicides. Her deep understanding of criminal law and procedure along with her success in the courtroom gained her the reputation of being a formidable opponent.

At LaMarche Safranko Law, McCanney will be a zealous advocate for clients who have been injured or accused of a crime. Her extensive trial experience and passion for the law will be an invaluable asset to the firm’s personal injury and criminal defense practice.
