The Rensselaer County Regional Chamber of Commerce has received the ‘Chuck Steiner Memorial Chamber of the Year Award,’ from The Business Council of New York State, Inc. The announcement was officially made ahead of the Council’s annual meeting next week.

Overit Acquires Healthcare Marketing Agency Smith & Jones
Overit announced today the acquisition of Troy-based Smith & Jones, accelerating the firm’s growth and presence in the healthcare vertical. Smith & Jones is a nationally-recognized healthcare marketing agency that specializes in branding and targeted service line marketing for hospitals, health systems, and other care providers.
Under the deal, Overit’s healthcare team will do business under the Smith & Jones name. The teams will collaborate virtually for the time being but ultimately plan to work together from Overit’s office in Albany, New York.

New York State School Boards Association Recognizes Questar III for Its Video Gaming Program for Teachers

NYISO Implements Industry-Leading Rules for Energy Storage Resources
The New York Independent System Operator (NYISO) today announced the final step in a years-long process to open the NYISO’s wholesale energy markets to Energy Storage Resources (ESRs).
This development makes the NYISO the first ISO/RTO to allow full participation of these resources and helps position the state to meet the aggressive mandates in the Climate Leadership and Community Protection Act (CLCPA).
