Wojeski & Company CPA Firm Expands, Relocates

Wojeski & Company CPAs, P.C. (“Wojeski”) has now acquired the local CPA firm of DeChants, Fuglein & Johnson, LLP (“DF&J”) after forming a strategic alliance earlier this year. The merger adds nine employees to the Wojeski staff, seven of whom are Certified Public Accountants, bringing the total staff count to 40. The firm now has a total of 22 CPAs. DF&J partners David Johnson and Diane Fuglein have joined the firm as principals. All DF&J staff members were offered positions with Wojeski.

“The merger and relocation will allow us to provide a wider array of services to our clients and will also allow our associates to benefit from stronger career opportunities,” according to firm founder David Wojeski. “We are pleased to welcome the DF&J staff to the firm.”

DF&J partner David Johnson noted that the merger “adds to both our capacity and our technical capabilities. In addition to the attest, tax, bookkeeping, and consulting services we offer, Wojeski & Company has specific expertise in mergers and acquisitions, business valuation, high-growth consulting, and international tax.”

In addition, both firms “share similar cultures and the core values of client service, technical expertise, and integrity,” according to Wojeski and Johnson.

To accommodate the additional staff and expand service offerings to clients, the growing firm has relocated to larger offices at 159 Wolf Road in Albany. The location was chosen largely due to its central location for clients and staff within the Capital District. A ribbon-cutting ceremony will be held on September 23rd.

DeChants, Fuglein & Johnson, LLP was founded in 1970 by Sidney Roth and Louis DeChants as Roth & DeChants. The Wojeski firm was founded in 1991 by David Wojeski; other partners include Thomas O’Donnell and Frank Ferrucci.

Wojeski has strategic partnerships with Greenbush Financial Group for financial planning and wealth management, Valuation Resource Group for business valuations, economic damage calculations, and pension valuations, Forensic Accounting Services Group for forensic accounting, and CFO Advisory Group for CFO-level consulting, all of which have made the move with Wojeski to the Wolf Road location.
