Will YOUR workplace GO PURPLE for Purple Day®?
The Epilepsy Foundation of Northeastern New York is challenging businesses and agencies across our 22 counties to GO PURPLE for Purple Day®* on March 26th! This is a global awareness day sponsored by the Anita Kaufmann Foundation and Epilepsy Association of Nova Scotia with the purpose of raising awareness of epilepsy so that those affected by it know they are not alone. Your workplace can GO PURPLE by encouraging staff to wear purple on March 26th, sharing facts about epilepsy and seizures through email communications or on social media (don’t forget to tag us!), or by requesting a seizure first aid poster from us to put up in offices, waiting areas, hallways, or common areas! If you would like to support local programs that benefit individuals and families affected by epilepsy, ask participating staff to give $1-$5 on March 26th to be donated to the Epilepsy Foundation of Northeastern New York. For other ideas and to receive our Toolkit for going purple, contact our Director of Community Education and Advocacy Coordinator, Erica DeNicola-Scher at [email protected]!
