VITA Tax Program Helps People of Low and Moderate Income
Catholic Charities is part of the United Way's CA$H Coalition and participates in the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program each year. Though this program, people get assistance from IRS-trained individuals to help file income taxes - free of charge. Accounting students from Catholic Central High School in Troy give up their time to make sure people are getting the most out of their tax filing, saving our clients hundreds of dollars.
