Taste of Troy Food Tours Set to Start First Weekend in May
Taste of Troy Food Tours, which offers weekly three-hour guided walking tours around downtown Albany and Troy that include history lessons and visits to restaurants, start next weekend (May 3-4). Tours run rain or shine, and reservations are required. The details:
- Albany: 12:45 to 4 p.m. Fridays, May 3 through late October. Stops include C.H. Evans Brewing at the Albany Pump Station, Ama Cocina, The Hollow Bar & Kitchen, Cider Belly Doughnuts, Stacks Espresso Bar, the Olde English Pub and First Church. Start and end point: Albany Visitors Center, Quackenbush Square, Broadway at the foot of Clinton Avenue. $65 ($45 kids 3 to 12).
- Troy: 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, May 4 through late October. Stops include Tiffany-designed interior of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, The Whistling Kettle, Illium Café, The Dutch Udder and Brown’s Brewing and Little Pecks. Start and end point: 275 River St., under large painted “Troy” sign near the Dauchy Building. $55 ($35 kids 3 to 12).
