The Rubin Community Fellows Program Announces Grant Funding Applications for Projects in Rensselaer County
The Louis and Hortense Rubin Community Fellows Program is pleased to announce that applications are now being accepted to support 501(c)(3) agencies in Rensselaer County that serve the residents of Rensselaer County by partnering them with faculty experts from Emma Willard School, HVCC, RPI, and/or Sage Colleges. Applicants are invited to submit grant proposals for the 2019-20 fiscal year starting in July 2019.
Since 1990, the Rubin Community Fellows Program, under the administration of The Sage Colleges, has been instrumental in supporting agencies engaged in the arts, ecology, social programs, law enforcement, and children’s programs, to name a few. Here is a short list of past recipients:
- Children’s Museum of Science and Technology
- Troy Public Library
- Frear Park Conservancy
- Literacy Volunteers of Rensselaer County
- Soldier’s Heart
- DeFreestville Fire Department
- Troy Waterfront Farmers Market Initiative
- Downtown Troy BID
Preliminary Concept Applications and Project Outlines are due March 1, and applications can be found through the Sage Colleges website at: http:///www.sage.edu/rubin
In addition to the application, the website offers a list of project awards since 1990, as well as the timeline for project applications. Grants are announced by June.
The Rubin Community Fellows Program looks forward to another exciting year of community grant awards and encourages non-profit organizations and government agencies to download an application from The Sage Colleges website and consider applying today.
