Regional Food Bank of Northeastern New York seeking volunteers for committee
The Regional Food Bank of Northeastern New York is now seeking volunteers to serve on their planning committee for their 27th Annual Chefs & Vintners' Harvest Dinner. Set for September 23, 2021, the Chefs & Vintners’ Harvest Dinner is one of the Capital Region’s most popular and premier dining experiences.
Funds raised through the Chefs & Vintners’ Harvest Dinner help the Food Bank feed thousands of hungry people in our community. In 2020, the Food Bank provided 55 million pounds of food, helping to feed hungry people throughout northeastern New York. Because the need is so great and the costs to acquire millions of pounds of donated food are increasing, the money raised through the Chefs & Vintners’ Harvest Dinner is more important than ever. The Food Bank’s work would not be possible without the generous support it receives through events like the Dinner.
The Committee will meet five or six times with the first meeting scheduled for April 27. All meetings begin at 9 AM, last an hour or less, and currently being held virtually.
