“Paws Where You Are” Virtual Walk Lets Animal Lovers Help Homeless Pets Their Way on Their Day, July 9-16
The Mohawk Hudson Humane Society (MHHS) has a fun and easy way for animal lovers of all ages to help homeless pets through a virtual event called Paws Where You Are, taking place July 9-16, 2021. Participants can walk, run, hike, ride or choose any activity they wish in support of the animals. Take part alone or with a pet, with a friend or with a team.
To get started, register at https://pawswalk.mohawkhumane.org/default.asp, set up a personal page and collect donations. Walkers can earn great prizes, including a variety of MHHS logo wear, based on how much is raised. All will receive a welcome packet with an official logo bandana and a dog tag necklace.
Participants are also encouraged to share photos of how they’re stepping up for the pets using the hashtag #WalkWhereUR for a chance to win more prizes. Kids can download Flat Nipper to take along on their adventure and also share their photos tagged with #FlatNipper.
All proceeds will support the Society’s animal care and adoption programs. In 2020 MHHS found loving homes for 2,335 pets and provided low-cost services to thousands more to help keep pets with the families who love them. For more information contact [email protected] or call 518-434-8128, ext. 206.
