Mohawk Hudson Human Society's 9th Annual Paws in the Park Walk for Animals Features Canine Ninja Warrior Contest
The Mohawk Hudson Humane Society is seeking animal lovers to participate in its 9th Annual Paws in the Park Walk for Animals, presented by 4 Paws Veterinary Care. The walk and family day takes place at the Joe Bruno Stadium, 80 Vandenburgh Ave. in Troy on Saturday, September 29 and runs from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The event features a lineup of activities for people, pets and families. Participants can register online at mohawkhumane.org or on the day of the event.
Participants may walk as individuals or as part of a team, with or without a canine companion. Walkers can make a donation or collect pledges and earn prizes based on the amount raised.
Activities include a walk around the ballfield; canine contests with prizes for best costume, most talented and best kisser; paw painting; homerun derby contest; a pet photo booth; dozens of vendors; kids’ activities; food, music and more. An exciting new feature is the Canine Ninja Warrior Contest, where all dogs can be ninjas with the help of training pros from Good Choice Dog Training.
All monies raised will help the Humane Society care for thousands of the Capital Region’s animals through sheltering and adoption, veterinary care, animal enrichment, cruelty investigation, low-cost spay/neuter and many other programs. Call 518-434-8128, ext. 206 for further information.
