Mayor Madden Announces Earth Day Cleanup Informational Meeting
Mayor Madden today announced the City of Troy will hold an informational meeting for the Collar City’s annual Earth Day Cleanup event. The meeting will be held at 6:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 26, in the Main Conference Room at City Hall (433 River Street). All interested residents and community members are invited to attend and provide information on neighborhood cleanup projects.
Mayor Madden said, “Getting involved with local Earth Day cleanup programs gives Troy residents an opportunity to make a direct impact on improving quality of life in their neighborhood. This year’s informational meeting will help develop meaningful cleanup programs, an essential part of advancing the goals of Earth Day in the Collar City.”
Each year, residents, families and business owners come together during Earth Day to organize community-driven cleanup and beautification projects at local parks, green spaces, and neighborhoods across Troy. In 2019, approximately 15 individual projects were organized with over a hundred participants lending a hand to improve their corner of the Collar City.
