Humane Society to begin search for new CEO

HUMANE SOCIETY TO LAUNCH SEARCH FOR NEW CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER TODD CRAMER STEPPING DOWN

Menands – Todd Cramer, President & CEO of the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society (“MHHS”), has announced that he will be leaving his post. The former Vice President of Operations & Chief of Staff at MHHS, Cramer assumed his current role in May, 2017.

“It has been a true joy to support and lead the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society,” said Cramer. “When I look at my 20 year career in animal welfare, I am incredibly proud of both the progress that has been made in general and the advances we’ve made at MHHS both during my tenure and the Society’s 132 years of service.”

During Cramer’s tenure, MHHS moved into the new Animal Care Center,  increased revenues, developed more community programs and engaged in national and regional level collaborations.

“MHHS has been very well served by Todd Cramer during this recent period of transition and growth and we are grateful for his leadership. We thank him for his service and contributions and wish him the very best in his future endeavors,” said Cynthia LaFave, Chair of the Board of Directors.

The Board of Directors will be conducting a national search for Cramer’s successor and Cramer will stay on while the search is underway.

“I have accomplished what I intended when I assumed the role of President & CEO and now the time is right to turn the leadership of Mohawk Hudson Humane Society over for the next leader to continue driving progress and success for MHHS’ mission to enrich the lives of animals and the people who love them,” Cramer noted.
