Hudson Valley Community College and Living Resources to Sign Agreement for New “CareerNext” Program
(Troy, N.Y.) – For over 30 years, Hudson Valley Community College has served students with differing abilities. On Thursday, January 13, 2022 at 10:00 a.m., officials from the college and Living Resources Corporation will sign an agreement that will bring Living Resources’ “CareerNext” Program to Hudson Valley’s campus.
The CareerNext program offers young adults with developmental/learning disabilities the opportunity to take classes, advance their education, engage in student activities, make lifelong friends, and then transition to work and an independent life.
Hudson Valley now serves more than 600 students with learning and physical disabilities. Its Center for Access and Assistive Technology provides dedicated staff and programs to ensure students meet their education and career goals.
A Career Next program at the college will bring dozens of new students to the college and is another step toward providing access to higher education and enhanced resources for students with disabilities.
