The Hart Cluett Museum Announces New Exhibit: Cultivating Community: Agriculture in Rensselaer County
TROY, NY – March 15, 2022 – The Hart Cluett Museum’s latest exhibition, Cultivating Community: Agriculture in Rensselaer County focuses on people, food, innovation, and the land. The exhibition explores who grows our food, how food brings us together, and how surprisingly innovative and controversial working the land can be.
Given the social isolation that we have experienced over the past two years, the museum is excited about sharing a joyful topic that illuminates the connections between people in our community. Agriculture is at the foundation of our social networks, and while we often overlook the people who grow our food and the importance of farmland preservation, it vastly improves the health of the planet while also helping to shape our unique cultural identity – both here in Rensselaer County and beyond.
The exhibition opens for Troy Night Out on March 25 from Noon to 8:00 p.m. and will be on view through December 17. The museum is also offering a variety of programs throughout the year that. Details are available at hartcluett.org or by calling 518-272-7232 ext. 18
Regular museum hours are Noon to 5pm Thursday through Saturday. Museum visitors can choose what to pay for admission. Suggested admission is $15 per adult.
