Hannaford Is “United” In Raising Funds To Support Summer Meals in the Greater Capital Region



Sign-Up and Give to Support Summer Meals Promotion Details

March 21 – June 30 

Sign up for a CLYNK account and two meals will be donated ($5) to the United Way’s Summer Meals program and you’ll earn a $5 off $30 coupon good on your next shopping trip to Hannaford Supermarkets.

June 1 – June 30

Drop a filled CLYNK bag from June 1 – June 30, 2017 and you’ll be entered to win $100 for yourself and $100 to support the United Way of the Greater Capital Region’s Summer Meals program. Five winners will be drawn at random from all CLYNK bags processed during the month of June.

United Way of the Greater Capital Region works with community organizations, food providers, schools and parents to make sure that kids and teens have a healthy and fun summer.  In 2013, the local data showed that out of the 42,000 children who eat free/reduced price meals during the school year, only 1 in 7 accessed free summer meals. United Way and its partners set out to bridge this gap by increasing the number of meal sites and starting alternate methods of meal delivery.

Voices: A Library Lecture Series is offered each semester at Hudson Valley Community College to broaden and enrich the scope of studies at the college by presenting speakers on timely and enduring issues, and sharing these lectures and discussions with the community.
