Greenstone Experiential Presents "Exploring Workplace Dynamics: When things go wrong at work"
Complex dynamics arise in the workplace that often overwhelm our ability to cope and adapt, leading to high levels of stress!
It's not fair that the boss has a favorite and I'm not it! Why am I held accountable but he isn't?
Why are my ideas ignored at meetings dominated by men?
How do I let my office mate know that I can't work when she talks?
My boss reminds me of my mother (or mother-in-law!) and is driving me crazy.
I'm angry that the company keeps asking me to do more with less, I have no voice and feel overwhelmed.
These dynamics arise at the interpersonal, group and organizational levels. Most of us have found ourselves in one of these situations at some point in our professional lives.
This Sociodramatic group experience allows participants to explore a workplace social dynamic that is agreed upon by the group. The resulting group processes and enactment will clarify values, thoughts, feelings and common behaviors in this social situation.
Participants will gain problem solving skills and a greater understanding of roles and behaviors in this situation, allowing for higher emotional awareness and increased cognitive flexibility when approaching a similar situation in the future.
