GLOBALFOUNDRIES-Town of Malta Foundation Partners with the Town of Malta to Help Local Families Affected by COVID-19

The GLOBALFOUNDRIES-Town of Malta Foundation announced today a grant for up to $50,000 to the Town of Malta to help local individuals and families affected by the coronavirus (COVID-19). The Town of Malta will initially purchase 250 gift cards from local grocery stores in the amount of $100 each, and an additional 250 gift cards when needed. The Town of Malta will distribute the grocery store gift cards to Malta individuals, families and seniors in need beginning March 23 at the Malta Town Hall, 2540 Route 9, from 11:00am to 2:00pm, Monday through Friday. The grocery store gift cards will allow local residents to buy food and personal items for themselves and their families during this time of crisis.  

The GLOBALFOUNDRIES-Town of Malta Foundation annually provides grants to local organizations and will continue to award grants during its annual grant cycle. The Foundation awards grants for projects that are creative, innovative, and inclusive in their scope and opportunities that will provide the maximum amount of benefit to the local Malta community. Information on the 2020 grant application process will be available on the Foundation web site in August 2020 -
