Albany, NY – Girl Scouts of Northeastern New York (GSNENY) has hired Cassidy Reed as its new director of membership.

In her new role, Reed is responsible for developing and implementing membership recruitment strategies and events for girls and volunteers across the council. To do this, she will carry out plans and initiatives for recruiting both girls and adults across targeted communities and will represent and extend Girl Scouts in the community by engaging with schools, community groups, corporations, and colleges to ensure that the Girl Scout Experience is known and accessible within the assigned territory.

Reed brings several years of prior management experience working for LUSH Cosmetics to her new position at GSNENY. In her previous roles, she has experience training across departments, high volume recruiting and customer service management, strategic planning, and sales campaign creation.

She graduated from The College of Saint Rose in 2017 with a bachelor of arts in communications with a concentration in Public Relations and Advertising. A Guilderland resident Reed enjoys writing fiction novels, spending time with her cat and listening to music.
