First New York Federal Credit Union announces 2020 KID$ Millionaire Winner

Sarah Kennedy, a 5th grade student at Richard H. O’Rourke Middle School in Burnt Hills- Ballston Lake, was treated like a Millionaire for a Day by First New York Federal Credit Union. She is pictured here with Middle School Principal, Colleen Wolff.

First New York Federal Credit Union has been teaching thousands of area students for years to save their money through its KID$ (Keep Investing Dollars Savings) Program. To celebrate the students’ success, the credit union randomly selected a KID$ Member to be treated like a millionaire. As the Millionaire for a Day, Sarah Kennedy received a gift certificate to Ruggierio’s Deli & Pizza (her favorite pizza place), a gift certificate to Stewart’s Shops for ice cream, a VISA gift certificate to go shopping, and a backpack full of school supplies. Sarah also had an on-air interview with 99.5 The River.

Sarah, like many other students at O’Rourke Middle School, makes regular deposits each week and she plans on buying a car some day with all she is saving.
