eBizDocs Assures Customer Trust with SOC2 Type II Certification
eBizDocs, a premier electronic content solutions provider, announced it completed the Service Organization Controls 2 (SOC2) Type II attestation with zero defects or any adverse observations. The Moore Group conducted the audit and review of eBizDocs’ operational controls. eBizDocs continues to differentiate itself by certifying its ability to protect customer data and successfully demonstrate its capability to meet all the relevant trust services criteria for security and availability.
Pairing eBizDocs services and the SOC 2 audit creates an enterprise-grade solution, that scales to the needs of Public sector, Small-to-Midsize Businesses (SMB), and Enterprise level clients. “Larger enterprise customers need to demonstrate to their customers and shareholders they only select vendors who exhibit having the necessary precautions in place to protect intellectual and private data,” said Jason Abare, Vice President, eBizDocs. “eBizDocs’ receiving the highest marks on its SOC2 audit brings peace of mind and confirms the necessary technology and policies are in place and monitored.”
The onset of COVID-19 sparked the rapid move to create or expand a business model that supports a remote workforce. An important part of this model is performing a digital transformation to make traditional paper documents accessible as digital files beyond the office boundaries. eBizDocs’ expertise in document conversion and management puts it in the unique position of helping organizations perform this digital transformation and securely put information at the fingertips of its remote workers.
SOC are a series of standards designed to measure how well a service organization conducts and regulates information. The purpose of SOC standards is to provide confidence and peace of mind for organizations when they engage third-party vendors. “Attaining SOC2 Type II compliance completes an important objective for eBizDocs and demonstrates our commitment to provide exemplary customer data protection. The rigorous validation of the high standards we follow for our operating practices, products, and services assures our customers we meet the most demanding requirements for protecting their critical and sensitive information,” said Howard Gross, CEO, eBizDocs.
The SOC 2 Type II certification is among the most coveted and hard to obtain information-security certifications. It demonstrates that an independent accounting and auditing firm examined an organization’s reporting control objectives and activities, and additionally sampled those controls over time to ensure they are operating effectively.
The Moore Group focused on eBizDocs’ adherence to the Trust Service Principles and Criteria set forth by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). The AICPA created the SOC guidelines to provide an authoritative and independent benchmark for service organizations to demonstrate implementation of proper control procedures and practices. The Type II examination not only looks at the policies and procedures in place at a given point in time, but also validates their effectiveness over the audited period.
